Disclaimer

The "Journal of Crime & Justice Dissertations" (JCJD) serves as a platform for students to publish their academic work. The views, thoughts, and opinions expressed in the dissertations published on the site belong solely to the respective authors, and not necessarily to JCJD, the Director or Executive Committee. The authors are responsible for the accuracy, originality, and interpretation of their work.

The JCJD does not make use of a peer-review process as is typical with standard academic journals. Rather the JCJD serves primary as a platform to showcase high-achieving student dissertations that relate to the concepts of social justice and social harm. All dissertations are sourced from reputable universities and all dissertations have received a 1st class grade. The inspection process of the JCJD is designed only to ensure that minimum requirements of the platform are upheld (it is not a peer-review process). The publications on this site should be read in this context, the publications are students' work and should not be used in the same manner as rigorously peer-reviewed content. Indeed, the works published on the JCJD will likely contain errors and inaccuracies that are typical of undergraduate student work.

By submitting and by signing a JCJD publication release, authors affirm that their work is original and free from plagiarism. They also confirm that their work does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others and that they have obtained necessary permissions for any third-party material included within their dissertation.

Authors are also responsible for ensuring that their work does not contain any defamatory content, or any content that invades the privacy of others or violates any applicable laws. Any legal issues arising from the content of the dissertation are the sole responsibility of the authors. The JCJD assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of the dissertations published. It reserves the right to make changes to the content, presentation, user facilities and availability of any parts of the website at its sole discretion.
